A species of ornamental climbing plant. In Poland, it is grown only as a cultivated plant. It can grow up to 10 meters in length. The stems are thick and only slightly twining, but they attach to walls and rocks using numerous adventitious roots. It has attractive trumpet-shaped flowers, 6-8 cm long. These flowers develop from July to September. The fruit of the trumpet vine is an unattractive hanging, elongated capsule. It grows best in warm, sunny locations, protected from wind. It prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soils with a neutral pH. The plant is not fully frost-resistant, but if it freezes, it regenerates easily.
Trumpet vines are strong climbers that bloom in the summer. They climb excellently with the help of aerial roots and slightly twining shoots. This is an American variety with dark red trumpet-shaped flowers. It grows up to 6-10m in height, with an annual growth rate of 1-4m.
