A very attractive Ukrainian female variety of mini kiwi. Leaves are green or green-white-pink. The coloration appears after 2–3 years, especially in sunny positions. The fruits are medium-sized, green, tasty, with much better flavor than store-bought kiwi. Begins to fruit in the 3rd–4th year and is productive. White, lightly fragrant flowers appear in May. This is an ornamental climber that can decorate any garden. Extremely frost-hardy — withstands temperatures down to –40°C!
Flowering: Flowers in May; fruits very early — already in August!
Exposure: South, west, east.
Care: Well suited to Polish climate. In winter, young plants can be mulched with bark to protect the base from harsh frost. Best pruned in late autumn or winter (before vegetation starts). Tolerates average soil but prefers fertile, moderately moist soil (best with organic fertilizer). Sunny position preferred.
Planting: Twines around any support — suitable for arbors, pergolas, nets, poles, fences, home gardens, allotments, and commercial plantations.
