Sorbus aucuparia
The European rowan is a medium-sized tree with an oval crown. Young trees grow relatively quickly. It reaches 8–12 m in height and 4–6 m in width. Leaves are pinnate, turning yellow or orange in autumn. Flowers are white, gathered in corymbs, appearing in May–June. Fruits are very ornamental, bright red. Prefers sunny or slightly shaded sites. Has low soil requirements. A good species for urban green areas.
