Carex morrowii ‘Variegata’ is a grass that forms dense, wide clumps and reaches a height of 0.2 to 0.5 m. It has slightly arching evergreen leaves with narrow white margins. In April, beige flowers appear, set on yellow stamens. As it is a marsh plant, it grows best in semi-shaded or shaded locations. It requires humus-rich, well-drained soil that remains constantly but moderately moist. It is fully frost-hardy. After winter, a gentle trimming of all leaves is recommended. This plant has versatile applications – excellent for flower beds, borders, and naturalistic gardens. It can also be planted in containers, making it a great choice for balconies and terraces.
