The Ice Dance variety of grass is an evergreen perennial that forms wide and dense clumps made up of characteristic leaves. They are narrow, 2 cm wide, light green with white stripes along the edges. The variety spreads very quickly, so only 5 plants are needed per m². The perennial grows to a height of 20-50 cm and a width of 45 cm. In addition to its decorative shape and foliage,
the plant also has attractive flower spikes with yellow stamens, reaching 40 cm in height. These appear from May to June.

It is not too demanding. It changes color nicely in both sunny and shaded positions. It doesn't like cold, gusty winds and prefers sheltered spots. It requires loamy garden soil that is well-drained and moist, with a pH ranging from acidic to alkaline. It is not fully frost-resistant, so it requires winter protection. The care of the variety is
extremely simple and involves cutting or trimming any frozen leaves in spring, as well as watering during the summer, especially if grown in a pot, as the plant does not like drying out.
