Bulrush PRAIRIE FIRE is a grass with very thin leaves that are green at the bottom and turn fiery orange (brick red) from the middle upwards. The tips are characteristically twisted. It grows up to 45 cm in height.
Bulrush is not a demanding plant; it prefers moist, well-drained soils. The position should be warm or semi-shaded, sheltered from strong and cold winds. The grass is not fully frost-resistant, so it is advisable to cover it in winter, especially young seedlings. You can use spruce branches, dry leaves, or sawdust. Keep in mind that it doesn't tolerate excessive watering in winter. The roots begin to rot, and the plant dies.
Bulrush is suitable for planting in pots on terraces or balconies, as well as in gravel gardens and rockeries.
