A beautiful and unique rose variety with large (10–12 cm), fully double flowers with light outer petals and pale pink inner petals. In less sunny locations the flowers develop a darker colour. It grows up to 120 cm. Use: The ‘Desse’ rose can be used in home gardens, parks, urban greenery and along streets. It can also be planted in larger containers, which should be well protected for winter or moved to unheated rooms. Flowering: Flowers have a very weak fragrance, are full, small (2–3 cm), and gathered in large clusters. Their colour is deep pink. Flowering begins in mid‑June and continues abundantly until late autumn. Leaves are medium‑sized, pinnate, composed of 5–9 leaflets. The leaflets are oval, 4–5 cm long, finely serrated, glossy and dark green on top. Foliage is very abundant. In autumn the leaves turn dark cherry‑red. Care: It grows best in sunny, warm, sheltered locations. Requires fertile, moist, well‑drained soil with a slightly acidic pH. Needs traditional winter protection. Pruning: In spring, trim the shoot tips. If necessary, remove any frost‑damaged stems.
