The ‘New Down’ variety is one of the best roses with striped, rounded flowers. Its color is a mix of vibrant pink and creamy white. It is recommended for planting in containers and for creating informal hedges. It does not tolerate shade and is very resistant to fungal diseases. It grows best in loamy-sandy soil rich in humus. The soil should have a pH of 6.5.
Application: Perfect for pergolas, trellises, poles, etc.
Flowering: Blooms intensely from June until September. Flowers are vivid red.
Care: Tolerates partial shade and poorer soils, but is less tolerant of strong sunlight and prolonged rain. Soil should be slightly acidic.
Pruning: Pruning should be done gently in spring before the start of vegetation. Cut side shoots above the 3rd–5th bud. Leave main shoots uncut.
