Climbing rose with beautiful pink flowers. It blooms abundantly and continuously until autumn, and also has healthy leaves. The flowers are large, full, pink, in shades of dark pink and fuchsia, with a strong fragrance. Height: 2.5 m. It winters under a mound. It grows best in clay-sandy soil with a high content of humus. The soil should have a pH of 6.5.
Conditions and requirements – The variety requires sunny or semi-shaded positions. It is easy to grow. For strong growth and abundant flowering, it needs moist, well-fertilized soil. Fertile garden soils or humus-rich soils work well.
Care – The climbing rose should be planted 20 cm from the support, up which the shrub will climb to protect the roots from drying out. The planting density of the plants should range from 60 cm to 1 meter apart. The rose shoots can climb on a pergola or tree, clinging with thorns. However, they often need to be tied to the support.
The climbing variety should be pruned heavily each year, removing faded shoots and long thin branches growing at the base of the shrub. To stimulate branching, it is recommended to shorten some two-year-old shoots by half. This will encourage the plant to grow faster and produce new shoots.
The variety requires wintering under a mound at the base of the shrub and covering the shoots for winter. It grows well in Polish conditions.
Use – As a vigorously flowering climbing plant, it is perfect for various types of supports, trellises, pergolas, or near building walls and fences. It creates dense green walls in these locations. The variety can also be planted in containers, making it a decoration for balconies and terraces.
