A beautifully flowering, evergreen, long-living shrub, growing up to about 1.8 m. A fast-growing variety. The plant originates from Asia. It is characterized by bell-shaped flowers, up to several centimeters long, gathered in clusters (even dozens of individual flowers) with a diameter of up to 20 cm. The flower clusters appear at the tips of the branches.

Application: The leaves are large, leathery, glossy, and do not fall off in winter, but they may curl into rolls due to the cold. Some varieties may be covered with a light fuzz. A very healthy variety with high frost resistance.

Blooming: The shrub blooms profusely from May to June. After flowering, the flower clusters should be removed, as leaving them on the shrub weakens it. The flowers are purple. The edges of the petals are wavy and fringed.

Care: Rhododendrons prefer loose soil mixed with peat and an acidic pH. The soil should be kept consistently moist. They should be watered with rainwater.

Position: Rhododendrons prefer sheltered, semi-shaded, and shady places. When planting in full sun, it is important to use more peat in the substrate and maintain moisture to ensure abundant blooming and optimal growth. They should be planted in groups. They can grow under large shrubs.
