A beautifully flowering, evergreen, long-lived shrub, growing up to about 1.2 m. The plant originates from Asia. It is characterized by bell-shaped flowers up to several centimeters long, gathered in inflorescences (sometimes containing several dozen individual flowers) with a diameter of up to 20 cm. The inflorescences appear at the ends of the shoots.

Usage: The leaves are large, leathery, shiny, and do not fall off in winter, but under the influence of cold, they may curl into a roll. Some varieties may have a slight fuzz. A very healthy variety with high frost resistance.

Flowering: The shrub blooms from May. After blooming, the inflorescences should be removed, as leaving them on the shrub weakens it. The flowers are red with a white center. The edges of the petals are wavy and jagged.

Care: Rhododendrons like loose soil mixed with peat with an acidic reaction. The soil's moisture should be maintained.

Position: Rhododendrons prefer sheltered, semi-shady, and shady spots. When planting in full sun, it is necessary to use more peat in the substrate and maintain moisture to ensure more abundant flowering and optimal growth. They are well planted in groups. They can grow under large shrubs.
