An attractive, abundantly flowering shrub of small size. This plant is easy to grow and thrives in average soils and urban polluted air. The Rhododendron is not fully frost-resistant and can sometimes freeze, but it recovers beautifully from the ground. This small shrub grows up to 1.5 meters in height and 1 meter in width, with a loose growth habit. The plant produces stiff, straight stems that are covered in flowers in June. The flowers are initially dark pink, gradually lightening to a delicate pastel shade. The Rhododendron also has elongated, dark green leaves with distinctive, coarse hairs on the underside of the leaf blade.

This variety needs a lot of sunlight for abundant flowering while ensuring moisture in the soil. Light shading does not affect the number of flowers, but the plant planted in partial shade will flower less. The plant grows well and thrives in fertile, humus-rich soil with a slightly acidic pH. The shrub is not harmed by polluted urban air and can tolerate heavy pruning—it regenerates well. Pruning should be done at the end of summer or in autumn, to avoid removing flowers. Rhododendrons do not like drying out, so young plants should be watered regularly. The plants are not fully frost-resistant, so they may freeze in harsh winters. Young seedlings should be covered for the first 2-3 years of cultivation, while older specimens recover nicely after freezing from the ground.
