A slow-growing variety with an upright habit. It grows to about 60 cm. It blooms in the second half of April. Its flowers are cream-yellow in color. It grows well in a semi-shaded position, sheltered from strong and cold winds. The soil should be fertile, humus-rich, moderately moist, and acidic.
Rhododendron (Azalea) 'Cream Crest' is suitable for planting in home gardens, rock gardens, heath gardens, flowerbeds, etc.
Blooming: The leaves are about 3 cm long, dark green and glossy on top, bare on both sides. The flowers are bell-shaped, scarlet red, with a delicate brown pattern on the upper petal, slightly ruffled at the edges, 4.5 to 5.5 cm in diameter, gathered in loose, terminal inflorescences of 3-6 flowers. It blooms relatively early, at the end of April and in the first decade of May.
Care: Requires semi-shaded or shaded positions and acidic, moderately moist, and humus-rich soils. When planting in full sun, a larger amount of peat should be added to the soil, and moisture should be maintained to ensure more abundant blooming and optimal growth.
