Use
The fruits are very healthy and contain, among others: vitamin C, B2, PP, and provitamin A. They have antipyretic, diaphoretic, and expectorant properties. Recommended for colds, fever, and sore throat. Drinking raspberry juice or compote is advised in cases of anemia. They help regulate the digestive system.
Flowering and fruiting
The flowers are small, white, and highly decorative. The fruits are pink-red, large, and very sweet. Blooming occurs from May to August. Fruit ripens from July onward.
Care
Plant at about 2 meters apart. Raspberries prefer sunny locations. Soil should be moderately fertile, well-drained, and moist. Slightly acidic soil is ideal.
Pruning
Raspberries require strong pruning. In autumn, remove only the canes that have fruited, but leave the new ones — they will bear fruit next year. Additional maintenance pruning should be done during the season.
