Application: The fruits are very healthy, containing, among other things: vitamin C, B2, PP, and provitamin A. They have antipyretic and diaphoretic effects, as well as expectorant properties. Recommended for colds, fever, and angina. Consuming raspberry juice or compote is recommended for anemia. They regulate the digestive system.
Flowering and fruiting: The flowers are small, white, and very decorative. The fruits are pink-red, large, sweet, and very tasty. They bloom from June to July. They fruit from August to October.
Care: Plant about 2 meters apart. Raspberries thrive best in sunny spots. The soil should be quite fertile, well-drained, and moist. Raspberry prefers a slightly acidic pH.
Pruning: Raspberries require strong pruning. In autumn, cut only those canes that bore fruit, but leave the canes that grew this year. These will bear fruit next year. Additionally, raspberries should be pruned for maintenance during the season.
