Raspberry is a popular fruit bush in Poland with healthy and very tasty fruits. It grows to about 1 – 1.5 meters in height. It is a frost-resistant plant. Raspberry is a very spreading plant.

Usage: The fruits are very healthy, containing, among others, vitamin C, B2, PP, and provitamin A. It has antipyretic and sweating effects, as well as an expectorant action. Recommended for colds, fever, and angina. Drinking raspberry juice or compote is recommended for anemia. It regulates the digestive system.

Flowering and fruiting: The flowers are small, white, and very decorative. The fruits are pinkish-red, large, sweet, and very tasty. They bloom from June to July. They bear fruit from August to October.

Care: Plant at intervals of about 2 meters apart. Raspberries thrive in sunny positions. The soil should be fairly fertile, well-drained, and moist. Raspberry prefers a slightly acidic soil pH.

Pruning: Raspberry requires strong pruning. In autumn, only the canes that bore fruit should be cut back, leaving the canes that grew this year. These will bear fruit next year. Additionally, raspberries should be pruned for maintenance during the season.
