It forms compact clumps with arching, overhanging leaves. Fluffy and lush inflorescences usually appear after three years of cultivation. The plumes have a pink color and reach a length of about 40 cm.
Pampas Grass Rosea blooms from June until late autumn. It prefers sunny, warm locations sheltered from strong and cold winds. This variety requires a lot of space. It does not tolerate flooding, as it begins to rot and the plant dies.
The soil should be fertile, well-drained, and moist. The grass is sensitive to frost, which is why it should be covered for the winter. When grown in containers, it should be placed in a cold and bright room for the winter, such as a gazebo, basement, or terrace.
In spring, it should be cut low to the ground.
