Mulberry is a large shrub that, when mature, resembles a tree. It grows up to 15 meters tall. The fruit supports weight loss, lowers blood sugar levels, and is rich in vitamins.

Use: Characterized by fast growth. It is frost-resistant and has medicinal properties. Rich in vitamins C, A, B1, and B2. Suitable for tall hedges. It helps limit sugar absorption in the body.

Flowering and fruiting: The flowers are small and inconspicuous. They are unisexual but appear on the same tree (monoecious plant). Male flowers are cylindrical with 4 stamens, and female flowers are head-like with 1 pistil. The fruits are white and the wood is yellow. The fruits resemble blackberries in shape and have a sweet and sour taste. They ripen at the end of July and fall off naturally.

Care: Prefers sunny locations, but also grows well in shade or semi-shade. Grows best in light, well-drained soils.
