The plant in a container can be moved to a warmer place during low temperatures, while those planted in the ground should be protected with insulating material. The plant requires fertile, humus-rich soil with a pH of 6.5-7. For container cultivation, it is important to fertilize, as the seedling has limited access to trace elements. The nectarine does not require pruning, but it is worth thinning out overly dense shoots to ensure better light penetration into the crown.
