(2-3 m per year). Kiwi fruits are very healthy, they contain no fat, are rich in potassium and various microelements, including zinc, and are very high in vitamins, including vitamin C. The fruits of the spiny-leaved actinidia contain 4 times more vitamin C than lemons!
Blooming: In June, white flowers, female variety, very prolific, fruits are very tasty, sweet, long-lasting, and can be eaten with the skin. They ripen in September - October, quite large, beautiful, red in color. It starts bearing fruit in the 3rd-4th year after planting. Pollinators can be, for example, the 'Issai' variety or the male plant of the 'Male Zapylacz' variety.
Exposure: Southern, western, eastern.
Care: It thrives in our climatic conditions; in winter, young plants can be covered with bark to protect the lower parts of the plant from harsh frost. It is best to prune late in the fall or winter (before the growing season starts). It tolerates average soils but prefers fertile, fairly rich, not too dry soils (best with organic fertilization). Sun-loving position.
Planting: It twines around any supports, suitable for planting near gazebos, pergolas, fences, poles, in home gardens, allotments, and production plantations.
