One of the most beautiful ornamental plants. It originates from the United States. This is a tall shrub with a rounded shape, reaching about 3–4 meters in height. It blooms in spring before the leaves appear. The flowers are single, large, dark pink on the outside, pink on the inside, and develop at the ends of the shoots. The leaves are light green and fall off in winter.

Application: Suitable for any garden, it looks best as a single specimen.

Blooming: It blooms annually from late April to May.

Exposure: Southern, quiet, warm, and sheltered location.

Care: Magnolia requires fertile, slightly acidic soil rich in nutrients. Due to its relatively shallow root system, it should be planted not too deep in soil mixed with compost. Mulch with pine bark to a thickness of about 5 cm. It is worth fertilizing with special preparations for acid-loving plants. It does not tolerate drought, so regular and fairly abundant watering is necessary. In winter, cover and mound the plant.

Pruning: Does not like pruning. Only dry, dead shoots can be removed.
