Beautiful ornamental shrub originating from the crossbreeding of two species of magnolias: purple and star-shaped. It grows to about 2-3 meters in height. It blooms for a long time and abundantly, with flowers developing before the leaves appear.

Application: Suitable for any garden, looks best when grown singly. Due to its relatively small size, it is also suitable for containers and pots on terraces.

Blooming: Blooms from April to early June. The flowers are large, single, pink on the outside, darker at the base, whitish or pale pink inside, developing at the ends of the shoots. The leaves are light green and fall in winter.

Exposure: South-facing, the best place for it is sheltered, warm, and protected.

Care: Magnolia requires fertile, slightly acidic soil, rich in nutrients. Due to its shallow root system, it should be planted not too deeply in soil mixed with compost. Mulch with pine bark about 5 cm thick. It is advisable to fertilize it with special preparations for acid-loving plants. It does not tolerate drought well, so regular and fairly abundant watering is necessary. Young seedlings should be covered and hilled for winter, older specimens do not require this.

Pruning: Magnolias do not tolerate pruning well. Only dry, dead shoots can be removed.
