Magnolia with characteristic 12-petaled flowers that bloom on the shrub before the leaves appear. It grows to about 4-5 meters in height, with a wide crown and low-hanging branches.

Application: It works best in a small garden.

Blooming: One of the earliest blooming magnolias. It starts in April, and the flowers stay on the shrub for a long time. The flowers are cup-shaped, pink with a dark pink stripe on each petal, and white in the center.

Exposure: Southern, the best spot is a sheltered, warm, and protected location.

Care: Magnolia requires fertile, slightly acidic soil rich in nutrients. Due to its shallow root system, plant it not too deep in soil mixed with compost. Mulch with pine bark to a depth of about 5 cm. It is advisable to fertilize it with special preparations for acid-loving plants. It doesn't tolerate drought well, so regular and abundant watering is important. In winter, cover and mound it.

Pruning: It doesn't like pruning. Only dry, dead shoots should be removed.
