A very graceful and frost-resistant variety of magnolia. It is a shrub with a regular crown, growing up to 7 m in height. Spreads up to 3 m.

Application: Suitable for any garden, but also for urban greenery plantings.

Blooming: The flowers are large, purplish-pink, darker on the outside and white on the inside. They have a slender, narrow shape. During blooming, the flowers are wide open and fragrant. It blooms profusely before the leaves develop, from April to May.

Exposure: Southern, the best location for it is a sheltered, warm, and protected spot.

Care: Magnolia requires fertile, slightly acidic, nutrient-rich soil. Due to its rather shallow root system, it should be planted not too deeply in soil mixed with compost. Mulch with pine bark to a depth of about 5 cm. It is advisable to fertilize it with special preparations for acid-loving plants. It does not tolerate drought well, so regular and relatively abundant watering is necessary. Young seedlings should be covered and mounded for the winter, while older ones do not require this.

Pruning: Magnolias do not tolerate pruning well. Only dry, dead shoots should be removed.
