It is the only climbing jasmine with fragrant flowers. It originates from the Yunnan province (China). It reaches a height of up to 5 m. It is a fairly fast-growing plant (1-2 m per year), frost-resistant, and can overwinter in the ground. It belongs to the olive family.

Usage: Suitable for planting near fences, various supports, as well as on terraces and large balconies. It looks spectacular on old tree trunks and among low forms of shrubs. It can be planted near a window or terrace to enjoy its fragrance. It is frost-resistant.

Flowering and fruiting: The flowers are pink in color. Flowering occurs from June to August, with flowers up to 2 cm in diameter, beautifully fragrant. The stems are densely covered with small, feathery, seasonal, light green leaves.

Care: Prefers sunny to partially shaded positions. Young seedlings should be protected at the base during winter. The soil should be fertile and moist.

Pruning: Tolerates pruning well. Cut the shoots to half their length right after flowering. This procedure promotes branching and more abundant flowering, as flowers form on one-year-old shoots.
