It is the only jasmine vine with fragrant flowers. It comes from the Yunnan province (China). It reaches a height of up to 5 m. This is a fairly fast-growing plant (1-2m per year), frost-resistant, and can overwinter in the ground. It belongs to the olive family.

Usage: It is suitable for planting along fences, various supports, as well as on terraces and large balconies. It looks spectacular on old tree trunks and among low shrub forms. It can be planted close to a window or terrace to enjoy its fragrance. It is frost-resistant.

Blooming and fruiting: The flowers are pink. Blooming occurs from June to August, with flowers up to 2 cm in diameter, beautifully fragrant. The stems are densely covered with small, feathery, seasonal, light green leaves.

Care: Sunny, semi-shady location. Young seedlings should be sheltered from the bottom in winter. The soil should be fertile and moist.

Pruning: It tolerates pruning well. Cut the stems to half their length right after blooming. This will encourage the plant to branch and result in more abundant blooming, as flowers form on one-year-old stems.
