An impressive and very ornamental shrub that can reach up to 4 m in height, completely frost-hardy and low-maintenance. Its flowers are arranged in conical inflorescences reaching sizes up to 30 cm; they are white, and during the end of blooming they change to pink–red.

Application: Suitable for every garden, for planting in parks and squares. They can be planted individually or in groups, for example to form a hedge.

Blooming: Very abundant and long blooming from July until the end of September. It blooms on one-year shoots.

Exposure: Suitable for any exposure, but in full sun it must be watered abundantly.

Care: Requires moist, fertile, light soil with a slightly acidic reaction.

Pruning: In early spring, prune low above the second or third bud. Every few years, a rejuvenating pruning is recommended, cutting back to about 40–50 cm above the ground.
