A decorative shrub with green, three-lobed, serrated leaves, beautiful flowers, growing up to about 1.5m in Poland. It has a stiff, upright habit. The 'Sanchonyo' variety originates from East Asia. It prefers a warm, sunny location, sheltered from the wind. The hibiscus needs to be watered regularly, as it does not tolerate drought. The soil should be fertile, well-drained, moderately moist, and have a neutral or alkaline pH.

Flowering: The ornamental feature of this hibiscus are large, double, showy flowers that appear from August to September. The flowers are pink.
Care: A humus-rich, slightly acidic soil is required for proper growth and blooming. It does not tolerate excessive watering, but it is advisable to mist the leaves. Wet flowers will fall off. When the first buds appear, feed with fertilizer for flowering plants. Be sure to cover it for the winter. It prefers a sunny, but sheltered and calm location.
