An original and quite demanding slow-growing shrub with stiff and upright shoots. It grows to about 1.5 m. The leaves are dark green, turning yellow in autumn, and fall off in winter. If planted in the right position, it is completely frost-resistant.

Uses: Recommended for single and group plantings in home gardens and sheltered park plantings.

Flowering: The highlight of every hibiscus is the large, striking flowers that appear from July to September. The 'Oiseau Bleu' variety is distinguished by blue flowers with a purple center.

Exposure: Southern, but a sheltered and protected spot is ideal.

Care: For proper growth and flowering, a loamy, slightly acidic soil is required. It does not tolerate excessive watering, but it is worth misting the leaves. The misted flowers will fall off. When the first buds appear, fertilize with a fertilizer for flowering plants. It must be covered for winter.
