An attractive variety of a slow-growing shrub with stiff, upright shoots. The plant reaches 2.5 m in height. It has rhomboidal or broadly elliptical, soft-haired, dark green leaves, 5-10 cm long and up to 6 cm wide, which turn yellow in the fall. It prefers a warm, sunny location, sheltered from the wind. Hibiscus needs to be watered regularly, as it does not tolerate drying out. The soil should be fertile, well-drained, moderately moist, and have a neutral or slightly alkaline pH.
An attractive variety of a slow-growing shrub with stiff, upright shoots. The plant reaches a height of 2.5 m. It has rhomboidal or broadly elliptical, soft-haired, dark green leaves, 5-10 cm long and up to 6 cm wide, which turn yellow in the fall. The edge of the leaf blade is serrated at the top. From June to August, single flowers, about 10 cm in diameter, appear, dark pink in color with a burgundy center. The plant prefers warm, semi-shaded and sunny locations. It grows well in fertile, humus-rich, moderately moist, and well-drained soils. It is recommended to carry out maintenance pruning in the spring by cutting back excessively vigorous shoots or old branches. Hibiscus is especially recommended for home gardens, where it looks best when planted singly on lawns or in groups with other plants. This shrub can also be successfully grown in large pots on balconies and terraces.
