A very frost-hardy and extremely productive honeyberry up to 1.8 m tall. Brown, large, sweet-and-sour fruits ripen already in May. Together with the variety ‘Czarna’, it is among the least prone to fruit drop. Yields up to 5 kg per shrub.

A long-lived fruit shrub that can live up to 35 years, growing up to 1.8 m, with a compact, rounded habit. It flowers already in early April with white-yellow flowers; the fruits are sweet and sour. An extremely productive, early-fruiting, undemanding and exceptionally frost-hardy variety, tolerating frosts down to -45°C!

An ideal plant for cultivation in cold climates.

Use: The fruits can be eaten straight from the bush. They are also suitable for preserves, juices, jams, confitures, compotes and liqueurs. The fruits can also be dried or frozen. They contain a lot of vitamin C and A and other valuable nutrients.

Fruiting: The berries are brown in colour, very large, round, with a taste similar to blueberries or wild bilberries. It fruits already in May.

Care: A very hardy, low-maintenance plant. It grows well in slightly acidic sandy-loam soils, as well as in neutral and alkaline soils, and prefers sunny or lightly shaded positions. Exceptionally resistant to drought and frost (down to -45°C). It is recommended to plant at least two different varieties next to each other to ensure proper pollination.

Pruning: In the first years, pruning is not necessary. After 5–6 years, annual rejuvenation pruning is recommended by removing the oldest, sprawling, overly dense or damaged shoots.
