A long-lived, very frost-hardy and productive honeyberry growing up to 1.8 m. Pear-shaped, sweet-and-sour fruits without bitterness, ripening in late May and early June. Undemanding in soil, prefers sunny or lightly shaded positions. Often used as a pollinator for other varieties.
A long-lived fruit shrub that can live up to 35 years, growing up to 1.8 m, with a compact, rounded habit. It flowers already in early April, with white-yellow flowers. A productive, early-fruiting, undemanding and extremely frost-hardy variety, tolerating frosts down to -45°C! A plant ideal for cultivation in Polish and similar climates.
Use: The fruits can be eaten fresh, but are also excellent for preserves, juices, jams and confitures; they can also be dried or frozen. They contain a lot of vitamin C and A, as well as iron, iodine and copper.
Fruiting: The berries are dark blue, very large (among the largest of all varieties), elongated and pear-shaped, with a taste similar to blueberries or wild bilberries. It fruits at the turn of May and June. Up to 5 kg of fruit can be harvested from one shrub.
Care: A low-maintenance plant. It prefers slightly acidic, sandy-loam soils, but also grows well in neutral and alkaline soils. Requires sunny or lightly shaded positions. Exceptionally resistant to drought and frost (down to -45°C). It is recommended to plant at least two different varieties next to each other to ensure proper pollination.
