A variety of unknown origin. One of the earliest grape varieties suited to the Polish climate, valued for its early ripening (the fruits accumulate a high sugar content even before full maturity). It is disease-resistant and completely frost-hardy – an attractive choice for amateur plantings throughout the country. Eating grapes boosts the immune system. Grapes also contain vitamin A (supports vision) and B vitamins (relieve stress). They also contain iron and iodine, which regulate thyroid function.
Ripening: Early September.
Care: In early November, mound the vines with soil (or peat) to about 30 cm high to protect the lower buds. In the first year, train the vine to a single shoot. Pruning in later years depends on the chosen method of cultivation.
Planting: Plant 10–15 cm deeper than it was growing in the pot. Smaller plants should be planted in a depression and covered with soil in autumn. This significantly improves frost resistance.
