The large, long clusters bear yellow, very sweet and juicy fruits that ripen early—often at the beginning of September. The plant grows quickly and can be planted by a pergola or fence. Growing conditions: Sunny locations, fertile, calcareous, slightly moist soils. Plant 10–15 cm deeper than the pot level and mound soil for winter protection. This climbing plant grows extensively if not pruned. Best to prune in November and cover shoots with soil, bark, sawdust, or garden fleece up to 30 cm before winter. In the first year, train 1–2 shoots (cut to 1–2 buds). Remember that fruit buds form only on one-year-old canes. Remove older shoots in May.
