A fast-growing vine with female flowers. If a male variety, such as ‘Tomek’, grows nearby, it will bear fruit, which is not very tasty for humans but attractive to birds. The leaves are light green, turning yellow in the fall. The vine clings to supports with tendrils. It is a low-maintenance plant, tolerant of drought and salinity, and frost-resistant. It is suitable for planting on tall fences, pergolas, and unsightly buildings. Particularly useful in larger gardens and for covering large surfaces, including screens. This grapevine is ideal for cultivation in the Polish climate zone. Exceptionally resistant to frost, pollution, drought, diseases, and pests. The fragrant grapevine is a fast-growing climber. The annual growth of shoots is around 1-2 meters.

Flowers and fruits: dioecious plant. Female flowers are small, white-green, gathered in umbels. Male flowers are numerous, with a strong fragrance, yellow-green, and collected in clusters. The fruits are edible but their tart taste makes them more valued for their decorative quality than for flavor. Small, round black-purple berries are gathered in large clusters and ripen in the fall.

Care: In early November, mound the shrubs with soil (peat), creating a mound about 30 cm high over each plant, covering several of the lowest buds. In the first year after planting, train the vine on one shoot. Pruning in the following years depends on the methods used for training and cutting the grapevine.

Planting: Plant 10-15 cm deeper than it was in the pot. Smaller plants should be planted in a depression and covered with soil only in the fall. This planting method significantly increases the frost resistance of the grapevine shrubs.
