Application: The shrub grows up to 1.5 m in height and width, with thin shoots covered with thorns. This variety contains an impressive amount of nutrients: vitamin A (eliminates free radicals, detoxifies the body), vitamins P and B (improve metabolism), vitamin C (boosts immunity). Gooseberries also contain fiber, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and sodium. Ideal for preserves, fresh desserts, or freezing.
Flowering and fruiting: Begins vegetation in April. The fruits are tasty and healthy, round, and ripen from mid-July. The skin is covered with a waxy coating; the fruits have a beautiful red color. Typically begins fruiting in the second year after planting (June – September), with best yields in the 6th–8th year.
Care: Should not be allowed to dry out. The soil should be fertile, moist, loose, and slightly acidic. Prefers a temperate and humid climate. The planting site should be well-prepared and weed-free, as the plant remains there for many years. Plant deeper than it was in the pot, about 1 meter apart. The shape is upright with stiff shoots. The site should be sunny or semi-shaded.
