Gooseberry "Hinnonmaki Green" is a fruit shrub with a compact, rounded and slightly flattened habit. This variety is healthy, fruits every year and grows very well in Polish climate conditions.
Application: The shrub grows up to 1.5 m in height and width, with thin shoots covered in spines. This variety contains an impressive amount of nutrients: vitamin A (eliminates free radicals, cleansing the body of toxins), vitamins from groups P and B (improve metabolism), and vitamin C (supports immunity). The fruits also contain fiber, iron, phosphorus, potassium and sodium. Gooseberries are excellent for preserves, fresh desserts or freezing.
Flowering and fruiting: Blooms from April to May. The berries are green, medium-sized, covered with fine hairs, the skin is smooth and shiny. The fruits are sweet and sour and, to the joy of many, low in calories. The fruits ripen in mid-July. Leaves are bright green, three-lobed, serrated, slightly hairy.
Care: Grows well in fertile, sufficiently moist soils with a slightly acidic pH (6–6.5). The position should be sunny.
