Very tolerant, prefers sunny, warm, sheltered places. A low, spreading shrub with widely spread branches. It likes a warm, sunny position but also does well in partial shade. It has no special soil requirements. The soil should be moderately fertile and moist.

Care: Requires a lot of light. No special requirements, tolerates many types of soil, though it prefers moist ones.
Pruning: Suitable for low hedges, borders, and small gardens. Can be used in public greenery as a ground cover plant.
