A beautiful variety of evergreen grass with bicoloured foliage. It has delicate, thin, almost vein-like leaves that are initially green, but their tips gradually turn burgundy, creating a striking colour transformation. The flower stalks also display a noticeable purple-red tint, which remains for several weeks and fades as the flowers wither. This grass is valued for its ornamental appearance and elegance. It decorates the garden all year round, so in spring it should not be cut back entirely, but rather cleaned by pulling out (combing out) dried leaves. It grows well in any garden soil, even dry, and prefers a sunny position. The plant is fully frost-resistant and tolerates drought well. Easy to grow and undemanding, its target height is 20–50 cm. It is worth planting in a prominent spot in the garden, on rockeries or among other low perennials.
