Lagerstroemia has attractive, showy panicle flowers. The flower clusters resemble lilac flowers - hence the name "noon-free".

The flowers last on the trees for three to four months. In our climate, it blooms only at the end of summer, which is quite impressive for a shrub.

The plant has the shape of a small tree or a large shrub with a spreading crown. In our climate, it grows to a height of 2-3 meters.

In addition to its flowers, the decoration of Lagerstroemia consists of small, oval leaves that turn yellow in autumn.

The plant tolerates moderate frosts (around -18°C) but prefers a warmer climate. It should be planted in a location sheltered from strong and cold winds.

Plant in the ground in spring. Both young trees and older ones need to be protected in winter, and the soil should be mulched with a thick layer of bark.
