A profusely flowering botanical variety with small, semi‑double, light blue flowers. In autumn it becomes covered with decorative, fluffy seed heads. The plant is very frost‑resistant and undemanding. Ideal for cultivation in Polish climatic conditions.
Use: It climbs beautifully over pergolas, fences, walls, arbours, trellises and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs and subshrubs. It also looks wonderful as a ground‑covering plant.
Flowering: Very early, from April to May, and again in July.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs and before winter cover with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7) and airy soil. Fertilise from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: Not pruned at all, as the variety flowers on old wood. To limit growth, prune only after flowering, no lower than 1 m above the ground.
