A beautiful plant with charming, bell‑shaped deep pink flowers. It has upright stems that do not cling to supports (similar to climbing roses). When left without support, it sprawls along the ground. It grows up to 2 m. The plant looks stunning both in the garden and in containers on balconies or terraces. It is frost‑resistant, undemanding and successfully cultivated throughout Poland.
Use: especially suitable as a groundcover or terrace plant
Flowering: June–October
Care: plant 5–10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls; mulch with bark; shade the base with low shrubs; before winter mound bark up to 10–20 cm; grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7), airy soil; fertilise from April; water generously during the growing season
Pruning: as a herbaceous clematis, last year’s stems usually die back — cut them to the ground in March
