A beautiful climber producing an abundance of colour‑changing blue flowers with white stamens. It has upright, non‑clinging stems (similar to climbing roses) and reaches up to 2 m in height. The plant looks stunning both in the garden and in containers on balconies or terraces. It is very frost‑resistant, undemanding and successfully grown throughout Poland.
Use: excellent as a groundcover or terrace plant
Flowering: June–October
Care: plant 5–10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls; mulch with bark; shade the base with low shrubs; before winter mound bark up to 10–20 cm; grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7), airy soil; fertilise from April; water generously during the growing season
Pruning: flowers on new wood — prune hard in late February–March (30 cm in year 1, 40 cm in year 2, 50 cm in following years)
