A profusely flowering botanical variety with small, semi‑double, light‑blue flowers. In autumn it becomes covered with decorative, fluffy seed heads. The plant is very frost‑resistant and undemanding — perfect for cultivation in Polish climate conditions.
Use: Climbs beautifully over pergolas, fences, walls, arbours, trellises and natural supports such as conifers, deciduous trees, shrubs and groundcover plants. Also excellent as a groundcover.
Flowering: Very early — from April to May, and again in July.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs and before winter mound bark up to 10–20 cm. Grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7), well‑aerated soil. Fertilise from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: Not pruned at all, as it flowers on old wood. If size control is needed, prune only after flowering, no lower than 1 m above ground.
