A clematis with beautiful bicoloured flowers in violet and white. The violet veining contrasts wonderfully with the white background of the petals. Venosa Violacea produces large, highly ornamental and decorative flowers. It prefers warm, sunny positions sheltered from strong, cold winds.
The soil should be fertile, moist and well‑drained. It also performs well in poorer soils with lower mineral content.
It looks stunning on pergolas, arbours and fences, and is also suitable for balconies and terraces.
