A very early, long‑ and abundantly flowering botanical variety with charming semi‑double white flowers, 6–8 cm in diameter, with pale yellow stamens. From June to autumn it is adorned with decorative, fluffy, light seed heads. The variety was bred in Sweden from a cross between Clematis fauriei and Clematis sibirica. The plant looks beautiful both in the garden and in containers on a balcony or terrace, and is highly resistant to diseases and frost.
Use: Climbs wonderfully over pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs and subshrubs. Excellent as a ground‑covering plant.
Flowering: From April to the end of May, and after flowering it produces decorative seed heads.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant the clematis 10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs and before winter cover with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, airy soils rich in calcium (pH 6–7). Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: Not pruned at all, as it flowers on old, last‑year shoots. To limit growth, prune only after flowering, no lower than 1 m above the ground.
