A beautiful climber with a great number of colour‑changing blue flowers with white stamens. It has upright shoots that do not cling to walls (similar to climbing roses). It reaches up to 2 m in height. The plant looks beautiful both in the garden and in containers on a balcony or terrace. It is very frost‑resistant and low‑maintenance, successfully grown throughout Poland.
Use: Excellent as a ground‑covering or terrace plant.
Flowering: June–October.
Care: Plant the clematis 5–10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with small shrubs and before winter cover with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, airy soils rich in calcium (pH 6–7). Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: This variety blooms on current‑year shoots, so prune hard at the turn of February–March.
• 1st year: cut to 30 cm above the ground above strong buds
• 2nd year: cut to 40 cm
• Following years: cut to 50 cm
