Application: Can be planted near small trees or shrubs, arbours and other supports. Can also be used as a groundcover plant.
Flowering: June–September.
Exposure: Requires a sunny position but tolerates average soil.
Care: Plant the clematis 5–10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs and before winter cover it with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7) and well‑aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: This variety flowers on new shoots, so prune hard at the turn of February and March. In the first year cut to 30 cm above the ground, in the second year to 40 cm, and in subsequent years to 50 cm.
