An old, proven and beautiful large‑flowered variety. It blooms very abundantly in summer and is suitable for partial shade. Originates from the United Kingdom. It reaches 2–3 m in height. Fully hardy in our climate zone.
Application: Suitable for growing on fences, arbours, trellises, stakes and other garden supports. It can also climb natural supports such as deciduous or coniferous shrubs and subshrubs.
Flowering: Light pink flowers with brown stamens; in strong sunlight the colour becomes lighter. Flowers measure 10–15 cm. Blooms from July to September.
Exposure: Sunny or semi‑shaded position.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs and before winter cover it with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7) and well‑aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: Requires hard pruning; between February and April cut back to 30–50 cm above the ground.
