A Polish variety, very hardy, vigorous (3–4 m) and long‑flowering. In spring it produces large alabaster‑white flowers, and in autumn the same flowers appear with a pink stripe and dark red stamens. The plant is successfully cultivated throughout Poland.
Use: Excellent for climbing over pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises and natural supports such as conifers, deciduous trees, shrubs and small bushes.
Flowering: From June until the end of September.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs or perennials, and before winter cover it with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, well‑aerated soil rich in calcium, with a pH of 6–7. Fertilise from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: Spring flowering occurs on last year’s shoots. At the turn of February and March, remove dead and diseased stems and prune healthy ones lightly: in the first year cut to 30 cm above ground level, in the second year to 70 cm, and in subsequent years to 150 cm.
